Nemesis Rising – More Than a Fight Night
Nemesis Rising was born out of a vision to create a local platform where athletes could showcase their hard work, heart, and skill, right here in Albany. Founded by Rob Lovett, the event was sparked by a need to provide regional fighters with high-quality opportunities, without the constant need to travel to Perth or interstate.
What started as a grassroots effort has grown into a professionally run Muay Thai promotion, drawing fighters and spectators from across the state. Each event continues to raise the bar, delivering well-matched fights, a vibrant crowd, and a strong sense of community pride.
Now heading into our third installment, Nemesis Rising has become one of the most exciting regional Muay Thai events in Western Australia. The event has grown in scale, professionalism, and reach, bringing in bigger crowds, tougher matchups, and even more local involvement. Its success is a reflection of the strong culture we've built at Lovett Muay Thai and the unwavering support from the Albany community.
As we prepare for Nemesis Rising 3, we’re more driven than ever to deliver a fight night that athletes are proud to compete on and our region is proud to host. Nemesis Rising is here to stay, and it’s only getting better.

One of the core missions of Nemesis Rising is to give regional and up-and-coming fighters a real stage to step onto, to compete, grow, and be seen. For many athletes, it’s their first time fighting in front of a large crowd or close to home, which makes the experience even more meaningful.
It also allows the Albany community to see the calibre of talent being developed locally through gyms like Lovett Muay Thai, and it inspires the next generation of martial artists.

Beyond the fights, Nemesis Rising has become a celebration of community. Each event brings people together, families, supporters, fitness lovers, and martial arts fans, to enjoy a night of action, connection, and high-level sport.
